Boot latch has a solenoid to pop the latch via a button in the door well of the driver side. There is also a cable latch release to manually open the boot.  Below is some photos and the wiring schematic .  I verified the wiring works, you can hear the relay 135 under the dash click and there is 12V on the relay wires.  I can see that the cable is disconnected but I don't see how it connects back.
